Green Glue is a visco-elastic damping compound designed to use between 2 sheets of drywall to substantially increase the performance of a standard stud wall, or to retrofit to existing walls to help reduce noise levels coming in and going out of room it is installed in.
Green Glue works by raising the mass of a structure, which in turn lowers the resonance point, these combined help to reduce the levels of vibration that are transmitted into the wall or ceiling. Typical values for a steel stud partition show that a Green Glue installation will give 8dB increase in Rw and an Rw+Ctr increase of 9dB over a standard steel stud install.
Using Green Glue in combination with Resilient Channel increases the performance of the assembly while limiting the damage down by short-circuiting the RC, used on block walls this system can give a reduction of 8dB.
Green Glue is available in tubes, cases and pails.

Acoustic GRG are delighted to announce a new
collaboration with designer Anna Gravelle, to bring a range of new exciting
design options to our acoustic panel range. Anna will be launching the result of this new collaboration at Decorex International from 18th-21st
September in conjunction with Design
Nation on Stand F17.
Using her trademark tufted and printed wool
fabric designs Anna and GRG have worked together to produce 'TUFTED
WAVEFORM' Tufting is an old
technique most will remember as the candlewick bedspread, revisited here using
radically different fabric and yarn and realised in cool, architectural greys and blues. The
bespoke panels can be delivered in a broad range of colours and pattern
combinations.
Anna is a Bristol based designer with a reputation for creating stylish and innovative fabrics and architectural surfaces using printed pattern and surface embellishment. Texture is at the heart of her design process with the aim of creating a beguiling and tactile experience within domestic interiors and public settings. Current projects include a bespoke commission for Bristol's first 5* Hotel - The Guildhall Chambers.
'I've always been drawn to designing large scale textiles because I enjoy the idea of textiles being used to soften space and to bring an unexpected textural element to an interior.'
'Collaborating with Acoustic GRG is giving me
the opportunity to really think about how my bespoke textile designs could be
exploited on a massive scale to create luxurious and sculptural soft walls
using colour, pattern and texture while also serving a purpose - to absorb
sound'
Why not take a look at Anna’s vast portfolio for design ideas and bring a unique design to your walls. Anna looks forward to seeing you at Decorex.
We are always looking for fresh new
talent to showcase and develop products for the interior market. We are delighted to announce a
collaboration with Designer Rebekah Hutchinson to bring a range of new exciting
design options to our acoustic panel range.
Fascinated by colour and texture, Rebekah
Hutchinson creates bespoke wall coverings/ wall art. With a strong focus on
energy and movement, her work expresses a sense of mindfulness, allowing people
to slow down, free their minds and experience the present moment.
Rebekah embraces the natural colours,
textures and patterns of materials using two main techniques, which comprise of
laser-rastering and UV printing. These techniques are combined to create
surfaces that have both visually and tactile appeal.
Rebekah is dedicated to experimenting and
testing new materials, producing collections of wall panels/ wall art for
interiors. Her longer- term view is to create large-scale wall panels, and the
possibility to go into furniture.
We have embraced Rebekah’s designs and manufactured a chosen selection into
acoustic wall panels. These bright,
vibrant panels works well for any environment as wall art with the added advantage
of providing absorption to control reflections.
Our acoustic Absorbers can be any size with any
printed fabric finish, why not take a look at Rebekah’s vast portfolio for
design ideas and bring a unique design to your walls.
We liaised with the acoustic consultant to provide a range of acoustic
products for the different areas of the project.
In the main
hall, the architect required a ceiling design using Birch plywood, and a
balustrade in the same finish but with absorption properties. We custom made RPG Planaform ceiling reflectors and a balustrade custom designed and cut to shape in Birch with Spigo acoustic panels to finish.
The main stage features 25mm Lucia fabric wrapped RPG Absorbors which were custom made in our workshop and installed by our team.
For the conference room, custom made colour coordinating RPG Absorbors were made for the ceiling and installed by our team.

Over the last 15 years Acoustic GRG have been supplying and installing
class leading monolithic acoustic plaster systems to provide high quality,
invisible, plaster-like acoustical finishes.
As part of our policy of innovation and improvement, we are now pleased to introduce a New system to the UK market that offers a number of benefits for the installer, the contractor and the client.
Traditional acoustic plaster systems use pre-coated boards fixed to
soffits, with 1 or 2 layers of top coat applied to give the desired finish or
aesthetic. These systems are slow to install as any cuts or penetrations to the
baseboards and any joints between panels require filling, which can delay the
application of the next coat. After the next coats are applied, some systems
require sanding of the final finish coat to give a smooth finish, this can
scratch the surface and be visible from medium viewing distances.
We are proud to introduce SAC Silent - our new Seamless Acoustic Plaster System, which offers the following benefits:
Fast Installation – Baseboards are cut and fitted on site, and then base-coated, this means that there are no joints to fill, no waiting time for filler to dry and less time on site.
Low cost – Speed of install ensures a most cost effective pricing structure.
VOC free, high quality coatings – ground marble and silicates make up the finish, with a VOC-free binder.
Water resistant – Premium coating comes with a water repellent additive that extends the colour quality longevity and prevents dirt ingress.
White finish as standard – more white than some other systems, RAL colour can be added to the topcoat for a consistent colour finish.
Q3 surface finish and 90%+ surface reflectance on Premium finish for a visually superior look.
Climate system – a special thermally conductive topcoat and a capillary mat system ensure the temperature in the room can be controlled quickly.
SAC Silent is also available as a suspended ceiling system.

New for 2016: We have a variety of finishes available including new colours/fabrics and sustainable veneers.
BH&M Architects wanted to create a visually stunning but acoustically effective feature ceiling for this high profile building and The Haberdashers Askes Boy's School in Elstree.
The original scheme was for large circles, traditionally the design would only have been realised using suspended ceiling rafts or by making plasterboard rafts, both of these methods would have been heavy, visually compromised and not befitting of such a prestigious project. John Amann, the architect for the project at the design stage, asked Acoustic GRG if we could suggest a solution – we suggested Clipso.
The rafts are manufactured using Clipso wide format fabrics and the Clipso aluminum frame sections. The framing forms the large circles, while the 5m wide fabric allowed us to make rafts in 1 piece. We used a combination of 5m, 4m, 3m and 2m wide sections and suspended them at the required heights, this allowed the architects original design to be realised in a cost effective, lightweight and high performance panel system.
